Our Mission

Buen Café exists to offer the hope of the gospel through joy-filled hospitality, caring relationships, and a venue for discipleship in order to invite the people of Reading to Christ and His church.

Our Core Values

GOSPEL - We believe that God gave His only son, Jesus Christ, so that whoever believes in Him will have eternal life. JOHN 3:16, 1 CORINTHIANS 15:3-4

JOYFUL HOSPITALITY - We welcome, love, and serve our neighbors with joy and good coffee because of who Jesus is and what He has done for us in the gospel. MATTHEW 25:37-40, 1 PETER 4:8-11

PRAYER - Prayer is the heartbeat that keeps our mission thriving. From the corner of Cotton Street, in Jesus’ name, we declare a faithful presence of prayer so that His comfort and love would be observed and experienced by all. ROMANS 12:12, COLOSSIANS 1:9-14

COMMUNITY FLOURISHING - Our hope is to see many stories in our neighborhood transformed from surviving to thriving because of the restoration that the gospel brings to all areas of life. We flourish when we are rooted in the church. PSALM 92:12-13, EZEKIEL 17:24, 2 PETER 1:3

CHURCH - We invite churches who are in unity with the Gospel and our mission to collaborate with us. We also encourage individuals to belong to a local church. ACTS 2:42-44, ROMANS 15:5-6
